Grading Policy
The quarterly grade will be comprised of:
Projects will be graded with a rubric based on the College Board's rubric. (Links provided on "Rubrics" page)
The categories for grading are based on the AP portfolio requirements for 2D Design or Drawing portfolios.
Effort & Participation is based on:
Graded rubrics may be brought home. It is preferable to keep artwork in school until June. Work is kept “in house” for various art shows and exhibits that occur during the year. Please keep work flat, covered (preferably in a portfolio case or between two pieces of cardboard) and in a safe place if it is brought home.
If students wish to revise a project to raise their grade, they have one week from the due date to do so and it must be done on their own time.

- assignments must be ready for review/critique on the date of deadline
- work habits
- promptness
- working immediately upon arrival
- meeting deadlines
- cleaning up/maintaining workspace
- being on task
- working actively and daily on assigned projects
- communication
- accepting feedback
- giving constructive feedback to others
- participating in class critiques
